Having conquered the home market with single ‘Stolen Dance’ and debut album ‘Sadnecessary’ the German duo’s success story continues.

You have to look back far to find a German act who has received such farreaching international success. The band’s first single ‘Stolen Dance’ went gold in Germany back in December 2013 and reached platinum just two months later. In June 2014 their album also achieved gold status in Germany and shortly afterwards the international breakthrough commenced.

The boys from Kassel have now not only achieved gold and platinum status in Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Holland, Ireland and France but also beyond the European borders in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Their hit single ‘Stolen Dance’ has reached number 1 in the iTunes charts in over 20 countries with current sales standing at over 1.5 million.

On the 30th August 2014 Milky Chance celebrated the end of the tour and festival season with an own Festival in the historic Citadel of Spandau, Berlin. It was at this gig that the band and Lichtdicht Records finally celebrated their success, thanking partners including Sony/ATV Publishing, Selective Artists and PIAS Germany by presenting them with Gold Disks (see photo above).
