It’s all too much, too close, too tight. There is just too much pressure put by major labels on small unknown artists.
That’s the reason why we, some guys from Kassel and Munich, got together in oder to launch the music label Lichtdicht Records in 2013 and that’s what our company name stands for: give those who need it more space, more air to breathe. Our goal is to help them to see the light at the end of the tunnel and beyond that in the speed they are feeling up to.
The plan took off: In 2013 we signed Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch alias Milky Chance. The described concept became real. Earlier than expected they are reaching the light – without pressure. But those who thought that it ends at the end of the tunnel were wrong. It is only at this point that the racy roller coaster ride of emotions, sounds and beats, starts. In the midst of the abundant playground of the music biz they are searching for their position. Where others end their ride – after their first track – there we take our starting point.
Actually, we could sit back and relax, but we don’t and we won’t. Since the beginning of 2014 we contracted more artists. One of those is named James Hersey. He and those who want to escape from the undertow of the majors, will hopefully experience the same roller coaster ride as Milky Chance – completely without pressure from above and with their own defined pace.
